pre & post care for semi permanent makeup procedures

It is imperative that you adhere strictly to the attached pre & post care with semi permanent cosmetic procedures…

(especially eyebrows) to achieve the optimum healed results .

Every procedure is not considered complete til 5-8 weeks after the followup appt.

Attached please find the pretreatment & aftercare directives here so that potential clients may read the instructions to see

if they can be followed meticulously & to help with deciding when the best time would be to schedule your appointment.

Pretreatment directives for dermal procedure:

Here are some pre treatment advice & directives for micropigmentation procedures:
You may not have semi permanent makeup & microblading if you are pregnant, nursing , diabetic or have any blood disorders.
1.Since delicate or sensitive area may swell or redden slightly it is advised not to make any social plans for the same day as your procedure. Lip micropigmentation may appear ‘crusty’ for up to one week.
2.If you are having your eyebrows or lips treated, please bring your favorite pencils.
3.If you normally remove unwanted hair at the area to be treated… please do so at least 24 hours before your scheduled procedure. Electrolysis or laser hair removal should be scheduled at least 5 days before procedure. Do not resume any method of hair removal for 2 weeks after your procedure.
4.If you dye your lashes or eyebrows, please do it at least 2 days before procedure & wait 2 weeks before resuming.
5.Please take an antihistamine before eyeliner procedures as it will help with swelling & tearing during procedure. If you normally wear contact lenses please wear your glasses & do not wear your lenses again for 24 hours.
6.If you are having a lip procedure done & you have previously experienced cold sores, fever blisters or mouth ulcers, the procedure could reactivate them. As a precaution you may want to obtain a prescription for antiviral medication from your Dr. or dentist before the procedure.
8.For those with hyper sensitive skin, we recommend an allergy test if planning to use red or flesh toned pigments one week before your scheduled procedure. However this test does not guarantee that an allergic reaction will not occur at a later time. this next bit is important:
9.Do not use aspirin, ibuprofen, blood thinning medications or antibiotics for 7 days prior to your procedure.
10.Please also avoid these prior to & during your procedure:
Retin A, Renova & retinoids,
Accutane ( Must have stopped one month before procedure)
Sunburn. Lash growth serum must be stopped at least 2 weeks before an eyeliner procedure.
Fillers or injectables, deep chemical or mechanical peels & laser treatments must be scheduled 2 weeks before & after procedure. Please stop Vitamin E , Flax seed oil, Fish oil, Garlic pills or Turmeric a week before your appointment. Consuming alcohol for 2-3 days prior to the procedure or any blood thinning agents. No caffeine or exercise within 24 hours before your appointment please.
Failure to follow these directives may cause your appointment to be rescheduled until you are able to adhere to the directions properly & a fee may apply.

AFTERCARE FOR EYEBROW PROCEDURES:

IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT TO FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS CLOSELY TO INSURE OPTIMUM HEALED RESULTS.

PLEASE DO NOT USE OTHER PRODUCTS OR FOLLOW ANY OTHER INSTRUCTIONS. THESE INSTRUCTIONS ARE TESTED & YIELD THE BEST POSSIBLE RESULTS.

NO DIRECT WATER FOR 7 DAYS /Please do not wet the eyebrows in a shower for 7 days

... baths only. Please shower on the 8th day do not wait any longer...

IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE PROCEDURE , USING MODERATE PRESSURE, PLEASE BLOT EYEBROWS WITH A CLEAN DRY TISSUE EVERY 15 MINUTES FOR THE NEXT 3 HOURS.

*IF YOUR TATTOOED AREAS GETS WET FOR ANY REASON IMMEDIATELY BLOT DRY.

DAY1-14
PLEASE USE NO MOISTURIZERS , PRODUCTS OR MAKEUP ON OR NEAR TREATED AREAS FOR 2 WEEKS INCLUDING FOREHEAD.

*ITCHING, PEELING & DRYNESS IS NORMAL IN THIS HEALING PROCESS DO NOT USE ANY PRODUCT TO RELIEVE THIS ... YOU WILL BLUR STROKES!

TO RELIEVE ITCHING TAP GENTLY WITH A CLEAN DRY QTIP.

*DO NOT TOUCH WITH YOUR HANDS FOR 5 DAYS PLEASE

*AVOID HOT HUMID STEAMY OR DIRTY DUSTY ENVIRONMENTS FOR 2 WEEKS

*ABSOLUTELY NO EXERCISE OR SWEATING... iIF YOU DO PERSPIRE BY CHANCE PLEASE BLOT IMMEDIATELY BECAUSE PERSPIRATION IS SALTY & SALT REMOVES COLOR.

+NO DIRECT WATER PRESSURE ON THE TREATED AREAS FOR AT LEAST 2 WEEKS

*PLEASE AVOID SLEEPING ON THE TREATED AREAS… SLEEP ON YOUR BACK OR USE A TRAVEL PILLOW

*IT’S IMPORTANT TO WEAR YOUR HAIR AWAY FROM YOU TREATED AREAS FOR 2 WEEKS

*DO NOT REMOVE HAIR OR HAVE ANY INVASIVE PROCEDURES SUCH AS INJECTABLES , FACIALS, PEELS , EXFOLIATION,

NEEDLING OR LASER NEAR TREATED AREAS FOR 4 WEEKS BEFORE & AFTER YOUR PROCEDURE..

PLEASE NOTE THAT ACID & CHARCOAL BASED SKINCARE PRODUCTS WILL DRAW OUT THE PIGMENT.

*NO TANNING OR DIRECT SUN FOR 4 FULL WEEKS AFTER PROCEDURE BECAUSE UV RAYS ALTER THE PIGMENT COLOR.

*PLEASE DO NOT PICK OR PEEL FLAKING SKIN, YOU COULD CAUSE SCARRING , LOSS OF COLOR OR POSSIBLE RISK OF INFECTION.

*PLEASE USE NO MAKEUP ON TREATED AREAS FOR 2 WEEKS, THESE AREAS NEEDS TO ’BREATHE’ TO HEAL PROPERLY

the fully healed results are revealed 5 weeks after your followup appointment. Everyone requires 2 sessions initially. Refreshes are all single service.

the healing process for the procedure.
